Single Site Active Control
The Single Site Active Control Series is an independent subassembly that is designed to integrate with an open top socket in conjunction with a burn-in chamber which contains active thermal control electronics. The Single Site Active Control Series is a subassembly that is modified to integrate with nearly any open top socket. The SSAC Series uses a passive heat sink to remove heat from the DUT, and thermal sensor that reads the DUT case temperature and feeds that data to the burn-in system's thermal control electronics, and a heater that is used to apply heat to the DUT, as needed. The subassembly is hardware mounted to the BIB, after socket assembly.

The Single Site Active Control Series' features include:

*The thermal resistance of heat sinks are based upon a handful of variables.

These variables include:

Series/PN Acronym Max Socket Size Max Socket Height
TMA-10-X-XXXX SFF SSxS 30mm x 30mm 12.7mm
TMA-11-X-XXXX MFF SSxs TBD TBD
TMA-12-X-XXXX LFF SSxs 62mm x 62mm 25.4mm
TMA-13-X-XXXX XLFF SSxS 76mm x 76mm 25.4mm
TMA-15-X-XXX XLFF SO SSxS 76mm x 76mm 25.4mm

The lid hinge is spring loaded, allowing for typical clamshell
rotational motion at the top of the actuation cycle. Final
motion to closure is directly vertical allowing for a planar
approach of pressure pad to DUT.
