UMD TECHNOLOGY ACQUIRES DIMENSIONS CONSULTING, INC. (DCI) OF SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA

DCI Adds to Roster of Semiconductor Test Offerings

Vancouver, Washington, February 1, 2006 – UMD Technology, Inc. announced the acquisition of Silicon Valley-based Dimensions Consulting, Inc. The purchase was finalized January 31, 2006 and is the company’s third since 2003. UMD’s strategic array of semiconductor test consumable companies also includes WELLS-CTI and DB Design.

With the acquisition of the privately held DCI, UMD can now market a completely integrated set of test cell consumables. “With the addition of DCI, UMD can now offer an integrated package and support its solutions worldwide from qualification to production. We believe that we are the first test supplier to be positioned to deliver an integrated ATE consumables offering and provide its customers with a single point of contact for its semiconductor test requirements,” said Matt Bergeron, CEO of UMD Technology, Inc.

DCI CEO Zaid Ayoub, who will continue to lead the division, shares UMD’s vision and commented very positively on the acquisition. “Joining UMD allows us to expand our product lines and offer completely integrated test solutions to our customers. Our customers can expect the same level of superior service, better worldwide coverage and support and integrated product offerings, resulting in the reduction of total cost of test and acceleration-to-market. We are excited to work with UMD towards achieving our common goal of becoming the leader in the ATE consumables market.”

DCI is a growing company with an established global customer base built on long-term relationships. Well respected in test circles for its in-depth understanding of test technologies, DCI specializes in ATE interface solutions and offers products such as its signature high performance ATE boards, DUT boards and engineering sockets.

Best known for its extensive design expertise, quality products and superior customer support, DCI is a company with technical depth that thoroughly understands the semiconductor test process. Armed with state-of-the-art design tools, in-house manufacturing, an experienced staff and worldwide design and support coverage, the 33-person company is a vital piece of UMD’s strategic alignment.
